Active & Interactive ICT skills for all teachers

This course has been popular for 7 or 8years as “Creating digital resources” for a number of NC subjects – MFL, Geography, History, RE, Science. Any subject teacher would benefit from these skills

In the last year I have re-branded and updated the course , with a focus on Active and Interactive learning. I introduce simple software techniques that all teachers can in incorporate into their presentations.

On this course you will learn how to create a number of resources that you can :

  • use with a multimedia projector
  • use with an Interactive Whiteboard
  • place on a website, Blog or VLE

They are multimedia ideas:

  • using Virtual reality panoramas
  • managing photos and videos, and capturing them
  • Using and personalising GoogleEarth – GE tours
  • using a web camera in the classroom
  • creating or editing audio files – perhaps for Podcasts
  • copying resources from the Internet – eg YouTube videos
  • Hot spot resources – virtual visits.
  • Blogs, Blogging and Wikis.

You need to bring a laptop. I will supply a booklet [paper or PDF] and CD Rom of resources and software.
