Active and Interactive ideas for I.Whiteboards –

BECTA claim that 80% of teachers are not using their Interactive whiteboards properly. Anecdotally, delegates often report that they have been using them to display maps & photos and project PowerPoints.

I will show you how to use your board Interactively – and encourage Active learning with  Students.

I support Smartboards and Promethean boards [and have experience of some of the others, like Hitachi].

I run Subject-specific or Generic courses in most NC subjects – especially  Art, Geography, History, D&T, PE, and also English, MFL & Science.

The course includes:

• making  resources with text , pictures, video and links to Internet
• using multimedia – audio, video, YouTube, web cam

Delegates will receive a booklet [paper or PDF] and CD Rom with exemplars and tutorials.

I often run this course for individual departments, but can also run generic cross-curricular courses. I can tailor the course to suit beginners or those who are a little more advanced.

I can run this course as a whole day course for one group, or as a ‘circus’ for several subject groups, or as a twilight course.
